The sweet Crimson Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), is a medium-sized, striped melon with sweet red great tasting flesh. Melons are typically 10" x 12" and weighing 23-27 lbs. This is the variety many melon lovers come back to after trying the rest! A unique feature of this variety is its ability to promote beneficial soil fungi that inhibit Fusarium wilt. Tolerance to anthracnose (race 1 & 3) and Fusarium (race 1 & 2).

Growing Info: 85 days. pace 12-18 in. apart in rows 6-8 ft. apart. Vines require anywhere from 36-100 sq. ft. of vine space. Don’t disturb vines while fruit is ripening or else fruit may ripen unevenly. When a watermelon is ripe, it will have a hollow sound when you knock it with your knuckles: The melon sounds more like your chest when it is ripe; when over-ripe, it sounds more like your stomach.
