Beet Seeds - Detroit Dark Red
Detroit Dark Red Beets are high in vitamins A, B2, B6, and C. The deep, dark red and globe-shaped roots have crispy sweet and tender flesh. First introduced by Ferry-Morse, this beet variety is ideal for home canning and pickling! Detroit Dark Red Beets take roughly 60 days to reach maturity. Incredibly sweet taste for beets. Eat it fresh, can it, or even pickle it.

Growing Info: 8-10 Days to germinate. 60 Days to mature. Plant your Detroit Dark Red Beet seeds roughly 4" apart in rows, keeping each row approximately 18" apart. Sow Detroit Dark Red Beet seeds in rows as early as the ground can be worked. After planting, press down covering with soil firmly. Beets perform best in full sun and well drained soil. When the tops are about 6" tall, pull the plants until the roots are 4" apart. Harvest beets when roots are 3" in diameter.
