Beetroot - Bull’s Blood (Organic)
The Bull’s Blood Beet (Beta vulgaris) are a French variety of beets which can be recognized by its deep red leaves and roots. Enjoy the sweet red leaves in salads or as a steamed vegetable. The red root is excellent for pickling or as a cooked vegetable.
- SESE Certified Organic Beet Seeds 5 g packet (average 380 seeds) sows approx. 30’ feet.
Growing Info: Sow outdoors in early spring. Plant in full sun. Sow seeds 1/2″ deep and 3″ apart to allow plants to grow uniformly sized beets. Less than 3" apart would result in the crowding of roots, thus producing smaller beets. Seeds germinate in approximately 10-12 days.
