Growing Info: 85 days to mature after germination. Start seeds indoors near a sunny window 6 weeks before transplanting to the garden. Or so in the garden in full sun when the danger of frost is over, and the ground is warm. Performs best in rows 2 feet apart. Thin if planted outdoors, or transplant if started indoors to 1 plant every 10 inches when plants are a few inches tall.
Suggestions: Remove flower buds to encourage leaf growth. Begin harvesting all but 2-3 leaves at the base of each branch before flowers bloom. Preserve leaves by drying or freezing.
