Eggplant - Ping Tung Long (Organic)
The Ping Tung Eggplant (also spelled Pingtung) is an elongated variety of eggplant fruit that is shiny, deep lavender in color and growing to 2" x 11" or longer. The disease-resistant variety is a heirloom plant originating from Ping Tung, Taiwan. This eggplant has a high yield, producing over 20 fruits per plant. Excellent flavor.

Growing Info: 62 days. Like all eggplants, Ping Tung Eggplant variety requires full sun and fertile, well-draining soil. Feed plants every two weeks with a mild organic fertilizer, such as compost tea. Ping Tung Long eggplant matures in about 60-80 days. Fruits are harvested when they are 11-14 inches (28-36 cm.) long and still shiny.
