Pumpkin Big Max produces huge, round to flattened-round fruits that have a pinkish-orange color. These big pumpkins can reach 6 feet diameter and 100 pounds or more. They make for excellent prize-size pumpkins.

Growing Info: 120 days to mature after germination. Sow a few seeds over a hill 9 to 12 inches tall and 1 foot across. Choose an area with full sun after any chance of frost has passed. Thin to 2 plants per hill when 1 inch tall. When vines are 3 inches high, thin to the strongest plant in each hill. Use a heavy organic mulch to control weeds.
Suggestions: For prize size pumpkins, after each plant has set 3 or 4 fruits, save the largest and carefully prune others then and for the rest of the season.
