Lettuce is an annual plant that is most often grown as a leafy vegetable, but sometimes it is grown for its stem and seeds. Lettuce is most often used for salads, although it can be used in a lot of ways including soups, sandwiches and wraps; it can also be grilled. The Crawford Bibb Lettuce, also known as Butterhead Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a fast growing, heat resistance crop with great flavor. Shaped like a bib, the green leaves have some red-brown edges, and are used as a wrap.
