Swiss Chard - Rainbow
Rainbow Swiss Chard (beta vulgaris) or Five Color Silver-beet, is a multicolored vegetable originally from Australia. Brighten both your vegetable garden and your dinner plate with this Swiss Chard which comes in shades of red, orange, pink, yellow, and creamy white. Depending upon the stage of growth at which the plants are harvested, leaves may be completely flat or slightly wrinkled. The stems have a mild chard flavor. Baby Rainbow Swiss chard has subtle earthy flavors and mild salty characteristic with a tender succulent texture.

Growing Info: 60 days. These vegetable seeds will germinate in roughly ten days and be ready for harvesting within thirty to sixty days. Baby Rainbow Swiss chard is available year-round. Seed directly outdoors. Prefers full sun. Sow two seeds every 6". After germination, thin to one plant every 6". Begin harvesting in 4 to 5 weeks. Tolerates light frost without damage.
Suggestions: Harvest stems just above the soil line. Grows back for multiple harvests.
