The Calabrese Broccoli (brassica oleracea) also known as Italian Green Sprouting Broccoli, produces a central large head 3 to 6 inches in diameter, with many side shoots. Broccoli is a good producer when planted again in summer for fall harvest.
Growing Info: 58 days. Start seeds indoors 4-5 weeks before transplanting out. Transplants should have at least 4 leaves. Keep a deep layer of mulch on the soil during hot weather.
